If you go to the westernmost part of the beach, right before the private homes, we swim our Labrador Retrievers with other dogs. You must pick up after your dog, obviously. Right down town near the jetty, even leashed dogs seem to be discouraged.
what is nearest ferry service to the island? is it walking distance and do you offer discount vouchers for the ferry line

The Beaver Island Boat Company is on Bridge Street ( Main Street in town ). I am not sure about any discounts. There web site will answer question about schedules etc.
