Daytona in a Day. Certainly a full week would be preferred but I only had time for a quick day trip and I took full advantage of it. Spent the morning treasure hunting in the 6th Best Flea/Farmers …Full review by GlobeTrotting639781

We loved driving directly on the beach. Very convenient. Finding the entry area to the beach was not very easy. We were there on Presidents week and the day was a bit windy. Nonetheless, I was surpri…Full review by RickTibbitts

The beach gets pretty narrow (between waves and walls) in several places. Nice sand. Good for going for a run because the beach is relatively flat. Cars can drive on it.Full review by mschmidt31

We loved Daytona Beach boardwalk. The beach is clean with lots of shops and food choices. On Saturdays, they set fireworks off of the pier. The Marine Science Center was a big hit for my teenagers. Very friendly city!
So I have never been to Daytona Beach. Trying to figure out which part of the beach to go to. Ideally, we want easy access to a good beachfront restaurant and ability to rent chairs and umbrellas. Being able to park on the beach would be nice too since we have never done that before and we will have a heavily pregnant person with us. Is it possible to have all three?

To be honest there are four or five really nice places right around the boardwalk all restaurants and shops are right there there are beach access roads every few blocks and there are chair & umbrella rentals up and down the beach. One thing i like if you go to a congested area you can easily move up or down the beach to find a great spot you do have miles. If pricing is not a super issue the Hilton on the boardwalk is awesome has rooms that open out on the boardwalk and have your own patio. There are a few smaller places that are nice also just some people just want newer nicer .Do a earth view of the boardwalk area and check out several hotels .Waterpark across from boardwalk
Do you find the area to be kid friendly? What is there to do with kids? Planning a trip in April thank you

The resort that we stayed in did not have cars on the beach so it was very safe for kids. The places the cars can park are marked and it was great for families to have all their gear so accessible. I didn’t see a lot for kids but it was our first visit and we’re seniors. There were some rides a fishing pier and a boardwalk with restaurants and a movie theater. we toured the Daytona raceway and did the Kennedy space center which was awesome and totally appropriate for kids.
