Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. will begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday as part of the Florida Complex Rookie League, according to The Athletic. Acuña will play the outfield and will report back on how he responds physically before the Braves proceed from there.

Acuña played six innings in a rookie league game and will head to Triple-A Gwinnett for his next rehab game Thursday.

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) homered in his third plate appearance in his first minor-league rehab game in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday in his first game of any kind since May 26 of last year when he tore the ACL in his left knee.
