Slugging third baseman Eugenio Suárez is headed back to the Seattle Mariners in a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks, a person familiar with the deal said Wednesday night.

Suárez, 33, was viewed as one of the more sure bets to get dealt ahead of the July 31 trade deadline. According to MLB.com, the Diamondbacks are reportedly getting first baseman Tyler Locklear and two pitching prospects, RHP Hunter Cranton and RHP Juan Burgos.

The Mariners were finalizing a deal to land third baseman Eugenio Suárez from the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night, sources confirmed to The Seattle Times.
