GREENVILLE, Mississippi — A Mississippi city has declared a state of emergency following the death of a Baylor football player. Redshirt freshman Alex Foster, a Baylor Bears defensive lineman, was found dead Wednesday morning in his hometown of Greenville, Mississippi.

Baylor defensive lineman Alex Foster died early Wednesday after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a car in his Mississippi hometown, the Washington County coroner’s office confirmed to The Associated Press.

Baylor is mourning the tragic passing of a defensive lineman out of Mississippi. He was a redshirt freshman in the program.
