Jordi Fernandez responded to questions about the Nets' decision to waive Cam Thomas following Thursday's NBA trade deadline.

The Nets tried but could not find a taker for Thomas, a volume scorer who has averaged 21.4 points over the past three seasons.

Brooklyn reportedly has agreed to trades with Boston and Denver, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. They reportedly will add Josh Minott (from Boston) and Hunter Tyson (from Denver). The Boston Celtics are trading Josh Minott to the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell ESPN.

The Washington Wizards lost to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday afternoon, 127-113 on the road. While the result is certainly good for Washington’s 2026 first round draft pick hopes, it’s still disappointing considering the fact that they beat the Detroit Pistons earlier this week.
