The Miami Dolphins saw a 10th unrestricted free agent leave for another team Tuesday when veteran Calais Campbell agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals. Th
The Dolphins have only one above average defensive lineman under contract, in Zach Sieler. They have a nose tackle, Benito Jones, who has consistently graded out among the worst in the league. Their only two other defensive linemen under contract are journeymen Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell.
Calais Campbell was one of the Dolphins’ best and most inspirational players last season. Campbell, who is entering his 18th season, finished with 52 tackles last season, and 5.0 sacks.

After playing a one-year, $2 million deal in 2024 for the Dolphins, Calais Campbell will make up to $7.5 million with the Cardinals.
The Miami Dolphins are losing Calais Campbell to the Arizona Cardinals. This creates a major void both on the field and in the area of team leadership.
Campbell, who turns 39 on Sept. 1, has offers from the Dolphins and Ravens, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Retirement also is not off the table. “Calais, specifically, is in a unique situation where he’s assessing multiple options as a player in the 45th year of his career,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said, via Jackson.
