Record-high egg prices in the past year have largely been attributed to the bird flu, which has devastated poultry flocks nationwide since the start of the outbreak in early 2022.

Federal agents clashed with protesters during an immigration raid at a farm in Southern California, one of at least two large-scale raids in the region on Thursday. The incident occurred outside of an agricultural farm along Laguna Road in the Camarillo area of Ventura County.

A prominent South Carolina Democrat said Thursday that Gov. Gavin Newsom needs to explain his "many failures in California" before running for president.

Newsom addressed supporters in Pickens County, discussing presidential actions, the importance of voter engagement, and the need for connection and respect.

Yet when Newsom stepped outside of the packed event space on Main Street in Pickens, a crowd of more than 30 protesters jeered him.

Rojas noted that "such fear constitutes a grave inconvenience that may impede the spiritual good of the faithful."
