LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The La Crosse Police Department have announced that they have not found any criminal conduct relating to the death of Eliotte Heinz following a preliminary autopsy. Final autopsy results will not be completed for several months.

The La Crosse Police Department announced Friday that preliminary autopsy results show no evidence of criminal conduct in the death of Eliotte Heinz. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities await final autopsy results. "Final autopsy results will not be completed for several months,” police said in a public statement.

La Crosse police say they continue to follow up on information in Heinz's death, but that criminal conduct wasn't involved.

La Crosse Police Department have reported that the body of Eliotte Heinz was recovered in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minnesota.
