Just like in the 2002 animated movie, Stitch was an "experiment" scientifically engineered to create chaos and destruction. And that "star" Lilo saw in the sky? It was actually a police cruiser Stitch stole to escape the spaceship where his captors now frantically search for him.

In the first full-length trailer for the "Lilo & Stitch" remake, we get a look at the mischievous creature in the live-action reboot. Just like the original 2002 animated film, the plot follows Lilo, a young girl being raised by her teenage sister in Hawaii, who bonds with the dog-like alien, Stitch. The remake hits theaters on May 23.
