The left two lanes of the westbound Beltine were backed up Tuesday morning due to a fire. All lanes reopened at around 9 a.m.

Both the driver and passenger were injured in the crash on the Beltline near Seminole Highway, Madison police reported.

The vehicle, which may have front-end damage, was not at the scene when Fitchburg police arrived and has not been found.
