The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is holding a news conference on the search for Vance Boelter from the State Emergency Operations Center in Blaine.
Minnesota Lawmakers Shooting Suspect Vance Boelter’s wife, Jenny Boelter, was detained for questioning after a traffic stop in Onamia, Minn., on Saturday, June 14, 5 Eyewitness News reported.
Minnesota BCA says the search for Vance Boelter has taken them to Sibley County, just southwest of the Twin Cities. This morning they found a vehicle and a cowboy hat that they believe is tied to Boelter.
The manhunt for the man suspected of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses continues into Sunday, with sources telling ABC affiliate KSTP that his wife has been detained for questioning.
Minnesota state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were killed in a shooting at their home on Saturday morning.
The combination of targeted attacks on state lawmakers and flyers in the suspect's back seat that said "NO KINGS" led officials to warn the public against attending planned protests.
