A new year means fresh movies on Netflix, which always shakes up the top 10 as viewers rush to check out the latest releases. After dominating the charts for weeks, the holiday thriller “Carry-On” has just been bumped from the top 10, making room for some other gems to take the spotlight on the streaming service.

I don’t know who at Netflix is in charge of licensing films to appear on the service, but they’re doing an incredible job this month with new sci-fi movies specifically. Netflix previously just added both Interstellar and Inception, Christopher Nolan classics, but now they also have gotten the two actual best sci-fi movies of 2024.
