Storms that turned severe yesterday afternoon and last night have moved out with lingering showers and clouds continuing this morning. A cold front has moved into the region, stalled out just to the northwest of Pittsburgh, and extended southwest along the Ohio River Valley.

Tens of thousands of Western Pennsylvanians are heading into the weekend without power. Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey held a press conference on Friday to update city residents. KDKA-TV's Ricky Sayer reports.

National Weather Service meteorologist Jason Frazier tells The Big K Morning show that the timing will be similar to the dangerous storms that came through the area on Tuesday, but are not expected to be as strong.
