Stankoven signs eight-year, US$48M extension with Hurricanes
The 22-year-old Tournament Capital product signed an eight-year contract extension on Tuesday with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes worth US$48 million. Stankoven put up 38 points (14G, 24A) in 78 games last season, which he split between the Hurricanes and the Dallas Stars. He was acquired by Carolina in a blockbuster trade with Dallas on March 7.
