Ta’Niya Latson has decided to transfer to South Carolina, where the leading scorer in Division I will join a high school teammate and try to help the Gamecocks win another national championship.

Ta'Niya Latson, the leading scorer in women's college basketball last season at 25.2 points per game, has transferred to South Carolina, she announced on social media Tuesday. Latson will provide a major offensive boost for Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks, who lost to UConn in the national championship game earlier this month.

The 5-foot-8 Latson entered the transfer portal in March after FSU lost to LSU in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She received interest from the likes of LSU, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss (among others), according to On3 Sports.
