Aston Villa are objecting to the Premier League over a potential scheduling change for their home game against Tottenham Hotspur. The league fixture is due to be played on Sunday, May 18 but Tottenham said in a statement on Sunday that they are in discussions with the Premier League to change the date.

Tottenham Hotspur were forced to dip into the January transfer window following an injury crisis. They signed goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, defender Kevin Danso, and forward Mathys Tel.

Aston Villa have opposed Tottenham Hotspur's request to reschedule their Premier League match next month. The Birmingham-based club has turned down a proposal from the north London team to bring forward their game at Villa Park.
