WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The West Sacramento Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting that left a boy critically injured Friday night. The department responded to the shooting reported near Linden Road and Allen Avenue just before 10 p.m., where they found a 16-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds.

A 16-year-old boy died after being shot in a West Sacramento park on Wednesday afternoon, police said. A spokesperson for the West Sacramento Police Department said officers responded to Summerfield Park around 1:55 p.m. for a report of shots fired and found the boy shot.
