Brad Lander received widespread support after his arrest on Tuesday, but it’s unclear how it will affect his third-place campaign for mayor of New York City.

The arrest of NYC Comptroller Brad Lander​ was denounced by many of the people running against him in the Democratic mayoral primary.

The fiscal steward vying to replace Mayor Eric Adams has dropped $4.7 million on two television ads, a stable of consultants and staff salaries totaling more than $700,000, according to records from the city’s Campaign Finance Board. He’s left with $2.8 million, as of the latest disclosure period in May.
