Google’s Stackdriver cloud monitoring tool is nearing general availability, and although it’s expected to remain in testing for a couple of months, pricing details have already been published.

Google on Thursday announced a series of updates to Stackdriver, its integrated monitoring, logging and diagnostics suite for cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform and AWS.

Google’s Stackdriver is designed to help organizations monitor, log and manage application performance on Google’s cloud platform, Amazon Web Services or a hybrid of the two environments.

A suite of tools added to Google Stackdriver monitoring capabilities offer profiling, debugging and tracing services for developers to spot and repair code performance and security issues.

In the latest twist in the ongoing battle for dominance in the cloud space, Google just announced it has bought Stackdriver, a cloud app monitoring service.

Stackdriver provides application monitoring services in the cloud for clients. No purchase price was announced for the deal.
