A once-promising season as recently as a week ago has turned into Miami being barely ranked in the CFP top 25.

The Hurricanes were No. 18 in the College Football Playoff selection committee’s first rankings, which were unveiled Tuesday.

For the first time in the 2025 college football season, Miami is leaving the state of Florida. The Hurricanes take on SMU in Week 10.
