A second person has died days after a multi-vehicle crash happened on the Liberty Bridge over the weekend.

West Liberty Avenue was closed in the Beechview and Brookline area of Pittsburgh after a vehicle struck a pole Monday morning.

An early Sunday crash on Pittsburgh's Liberty Bridge turned deadly when a three-car collision left one person dead and several others injured after one vehicle burst into flames. Firefighters and rescue crews worked through the pre-dawn darkness to free people pinned in the burning car and clear the twisted wreckage from the span.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Sunday along Route 980.

Brownsville Road will be shut down for hours

The Pittsburgh Police Accident Investigation Unit is working to learn more about the crash.
