Dallas-Fort Worth residents will catch a brief break Wednesday before a series of storms threatens to impact Memorial Day weekend travel with rain and isolated flooding.

From extreme heat and flooding to thunderstorms and tornadoes, The D-W area is no stranger to natural disasters and dangerous weather conditions.

Heads up, North Texas! A cold front is bringing thunderstorms and flooding threats today through the weekend. See when it hits your neighborhood.

Storms are en route to Texas. The weather radar shows that several major cities will feel the impact on Tuesday, May 19. Forecasters say a weak cold front is settling into the northern part of the state and should push south through the Panhandles late tonight.

A bit more cloud cover today held temperatures back just a little bit. Highs only hit the mid 80s in Central Texas versus upper 80s in the Brazos Valley where there was a little more sunshine. But mid-80s is still average for mid May temperatures.
