Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has said the club "looked very seriously" at an offer from Chelsea for winger Jamie Gittens.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has left the door open for Chelsea with regards to a future deal for Jamie Gittens. Chelsea were in talks to sign Gittens in time to be registered in their squad for the Club World Cup tournament which gets underway in the USA this weekend.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens will not move to Chelsea before the Club World Cup, while the London club have ended their interest in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan this summer.
