At least 2,000 gallons of oil have spilled into the Baltimore Harbor as cleanup efforts are currently underway, officials said.

After about 2,000 gallons of oil spilled into the water in Baltimore’s Harbor East area Wednesday, crews are racing to clean the harbor as forecasts of rain threaten to worsen the situation.

Maryland officials said the spill has had no impact on drinking water. State, city, and federal agencies are working the case.
