Meta Platforms on Wednesday won an emergency arbitration ruling to temporarily stop promotion of the tell-all book "Careless People" by a former employee, according to a copy of the ruling published by the social media company.

While it couldn’t stop its release, Meta is trying to stop further sales of a new book written by a former employee. The tell-all memoir by Sarah Wynn-Williams entitled “Careless People” was released on March 11 - it chronicles her 6-year tenure with the company and details several unflattering allegations.

Mark Zuckerberg might be in his post-fact-checking-era. But that hasn’t stopped Meta from going after the author of Careless People.

Flatiron Books, the publisher of a new book by an ex-Meta staffer alleging misconduct and harassment at the company, says in a statement that a recent arbitration order demanding that the book no longer be published has “no impact” on Macmillan.
