Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif visited Balochistan as the BLA continued to challenge the army's claim of eliminating all train hijackers.

Karachi/Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday visited Balochistan, where he reviewed the law and order situation and expressed solidarity with the people following the Jaffar Express hijacking incident in which 21 civilians and four soldiers were killed.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the media following a train attack in Balochistan on Tuesday. Insurgents targeted the Jaffar Express, which was carrying 440 passengers, using explosives to derail the train.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan cannot progress without eliminating terrorism from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He condemned the attack and warned against anti-army propaganda.

The train, with around 500 passengers on board in nine coaches, was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar when it came under attack.
