Less than three days after Thomas Frank was confirmed at the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Spurs have officially announced his first summer signing.

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Mathys Tel on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich. Spurs are understood to have paid around £30million for the 20-year-old, who has agreed a six-year contract and becomes the first official signing of the Thomas Frank era.

On Thursday evening, Frank was announced as Tottenham Hotspur’s new head coach on a three-year contract. The 51-year-old is the successor to Ange Postecoglou, who became the first Spurs manager to lift a trophy since 2008 when they won the Europa League final last month.
