Not to be outdone by Amazon, Walmart is holding a rival Prime Day sale that'll run longer with big deals on almost everything. Here's everything you need to know about the six-day sale.

As Amazon revealed plans for the largest Prime Day event ever, a number of major retailers are following suit to rival Amazon's annual sale. Retail giants Walmart and Target both announced Monday their plans to host sales events overlapping with Amazon Prime Day.

The Walmart Deals event will take place in direct opposition to Amazon Prime Day this year by starting on the exact same day. Running from July 8 through July 13, this six-day sale promises "thousands of deals" across electronics, home goods, toys, and more.
