Nikolaj Ehlers scored twice, Mark Scheifele had a goal and an assist and Connor Hellebuyck made 22 saves to help the Jets avoid elimination with a 4-0 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 5 of their second-round series Thursday.

BOTTOM LINE: The Dallas Stars host the Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the NHL Playoffs with a 3-2 lead in the series. The teams meet Thursday for the 10th time this season. The Jets won the previous matchup 4-0. Nikolaj Ehlers scored two goals in the win.

Prior to Thursday, Dallas had its way in the series. The Stars won Game 1 (3-2), Game 3 (5-2) and Game 4 (3-1), but both of their losses have been shutouts. In order to knock out Winnipeg for good, the Stars need to figure things out offensively. Dallas is too talented to have such a struggle scoring.
