The “funny and sweet” 12-year-old boy who was stabbed to death as he walked home in Birmingham has been named by police as Leo Ross. Leo was found with serious injuries near Scribers Lane in Hall Green shortly after 3pm on Tuesday and was taken to hospital, but died as a result of his injuries.

A 12-year-old boy has died after a stabbing in Birmingham. West Midlands Police said the boy was found with “serious injuries” in Hall Green at 3pm on Tuesday. Another boy, 14, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The 12-year-old was taken to hospital but died as a result of his injuries.
