The quest to find the New York Giants’ next franchise quarterback starts now. Picking third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, landing that top quarterback will be easier said than done.

The New York Giants announced they would retain Coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen, while the Jaguars moved on from Doug Pederson.

Since Super Bowl XLVI, when the Giants defeated the Patriots the second time, Big Blue has gone 79-132, a .374 win percentage, in the regular season. They’ve made the playoffs twice, winning just one game in 2022 under Daboll, the team’s fifth head coach since Tom Coughlin walked away after the 2015 season.

The Mara family has owned the Giants since the team’s founding in 1925. The Giants declined to comment on Manning’s interest.

New York holds the third pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and could have a quarterback at the top of its wish list. The Giants signed Daniel Jones to a four-year, $160 million contract extension in 2023. The quarterback played in 16 games over the past two seasons before the New York released him on Nov. 27.
