A 14-year-old student’s essay led to the Los Angeles Fire Department receiving a star near the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Following through on a suggestion by a 14-year-old girl, the L.A. Fire Department was honored with an Award of Excellence star adjacent to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
