The Canucks are now one point ahead of the Calgary Flames for the last Wild Card spot, although the Flames do have a game in hand. They also trail the Los Angeles Kings by only two points for the third Pacific Division playoff spot, but the Kings have two games in hand.

The Vancouver Canucks have played their way back into the light of the playoff race, and it was probably the best game of the season for goalie Thatcher Demko.
