Amorgos: Emergency declared on a second Greek island as a string of earthquakes persists - A series of earthquakes continues to rattle the south-eastern Aegean Sea region

Greek island, Amorgos, was placed in a state of emergency Wednesday with the south Aegean Sea still subject to thousands of mid-level quakes that have already forced most inhabitants to flee neighbouring Santorini.

Seismologists have noted that the epicentre of the earthquakes is steadily drifting northward in the direction of Amorgos.
