Costco is set to anchor the redevelopment of the old Washington Mall, expected to create jobs and boost the local economy.

Once the old Washington Mall is torn down, Costco will become the anchor tenant. When Costco takes over the property, which has been empty for more than a decade, it will be one of the biggest stores in southwest Pennsylvania,

It was recently announced that the old Washington Mall will be demolished to make way for new development and the anchor store will be Costco. Washington County’s Commissioners made the announcement during a real estate expo.
