Having endured possibly one of the worst campaigns last year, it looks like the San Diego Wave has something big in store for the 2025 NWSL season. Talk about a wake-up call, as the California-based club continues to make addition after addition to its roster.

San Diego Wave has completed the signing of France midfielder Kenza Dali from Aston Villa. Dali, 33, has joined the club on a two-year deal through to 2027 and will occupy an international slot on the Wave’s roster in 2025.

Falconets forward Chiamaka Okwuchukwu has completed a move to National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL, club San Diego Wave. Okwuchukwu joined San Diego Wave from Nigeria Women’s Premier League outfit Rivers Angels.

Dali has spent the last two-and-a-half-seasons with Aston Villa. She has made 48 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has netted seven goals. Dali has played an influential role for Aston Villa in the middle of the pitch. In her time in England, Dali has also turned out for West Ham United and Everton.

U.S. national team midfielder Jaedyn Shaw has been acquired by the North Carolina Courage in a trade with the San Diego Wave.
