Marcus Smart had some of the best years of his career with the Boston Celtics from 2014 to 2023, but he didn't get a warm welcome from every fan at TD Garden on Sunday. As Smart's Washington Wizards took on the Celtics, the guard got into a shouting match with a fan that he said took things too far.

Payton Pritchard (20 points) led seven different Celtics to finish in double figures while Al Horford (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Luke Kornet (12 points, 11 rebounds) both chipped in with double-doubles in the victory. Jordan Poole had a team-high 15 points in the loss for the Wizards.

Jaylen Brown had five assists in the Celtics’ 124-90 romp against the Wizards on Sunday, but during a fourth-quarter timeout, with his night complete due to the lopsided score, he decided to pursue more.

The Celtics will look to continue their stellar play and capture their 58th win of the season. Boston is a heavy favorite in this matchup with a -20.5 spread, and that is despite their best players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, being on the injury report.
