Dexter has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and is moving east-northeast at 12 mph. The tropical storm is expected to move away from the United States, forecasters said. Meanwhile, a tropical wave moving off the west coast of Africa could become a depression later this week as it moves west-northwestward across the central tropical Atlantic.
