WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) — The suburban Chicago man who admitted to fatally shooting seven people and wounding dozens of others during a 2022 Independence Day parade was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The court finds he’s irrevocably depraved. He is beyond any rehabilitation," Judge Victoria Rossetti said during the sentencing.

Crimo opened fire at an Independence Day parade, wounding nearly 50 people in addition to the seven who were killed.
