A water main break near the Jersey City-Hoboken border has prompted a boil water advisory today in New Jersey.

Crews have repaired a broken water main in Jersey City that occurred on Tuesday. But despite the repairs, a boil water advisory in Hoboken remains in place until further notice. The boil water advisory only impacts Hoboken residents. The main broke near Jersey Avenue and 18th Street in Jersey City.

Residents across Hoboken and Jersey City were left grappling with consequences of a major water main break early Tuesday morning.
