For Northeast Florida's top athletes in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 3A track and field championships, better late than never was the common thread.

Fans voted for the Trinity Shamrocks for The Courier Journal high school of the year (boys programs) for the Louisville area.

The Rockets also recorded state titles in cross-country, Class 3A Outdoor Track and Field State Championship, field hockey and volleyball (24th state championship).
