An inspired Mirra Andreeva beat world number two Iga Swiatek for the first time in her career with a dominant 6-3 6-3 victory on Thursday at the Dubai Duty Free Championships where the Russian 17-year-old set up a semi-final clash with Elena Rybakina.

Three-time defending Qatar Open champion Iga Swiatek scrapped her way past Czech youngster Linda Noskova on Wednesday to set up a quarter-final with last year's runner-up Elena Rybakina. The five-time Grand Slam champion will take on 2022 Wimbledon winner Rybakina on Thursday for a place in the semi-finals.

Iga Swiatek's quest for a four-peat will have to go through Elena Rybakina. The World No.2 edged Linda Noskova in a three-set thriller to make the quarterfinals and set up a rematch of last year's final.
