Steven Gerrard is set to leave his role as head coach of Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq. The 44-year-old had signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal at Al Ettifaq in January 2024 through to June 2027 but he is set to leave after one win in four matches since the season resumed following the winter break.

Neymar’s move from Al-Hilal to Brazilian club Santos means the Saudi Pro League has lost one of its most high-profile players.

Neymar and Al Hilal will part ways after the Brazilian soccer star and the Saudi Pro League agreed “to terminate their contractual relationship by mutual consent,” the club announced Monday. His departure opens the door for a reported return to his youth club in Brazil.

Brazilian soccer star Neymar will rejoin Santos, where he made his senior level debut in 2009, after ending his tenure with Saudi Pro League franchise Al Hilal, Santos president Marcelo Teixeira announced Tuesday.
