A long-rumored Banjo-Kazooie game has apparently been cancelled at Xbox, before it could be officially announced.

Gregg Mayles, the veteran Rare designer and director, will reportedly depart the studio following yesterday's sweeping cuts of Xbox staff and projects that included the long-in-development Everwild.

There were rumors that Banjo-Kazooie could finally make the comeback it deserved, but an insider is pointing to that being done now.
