NJ Transit and the engineers union reached a tentative deal Sunday to end the strike, but trains are still not running until tomorrow.

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen and NJ Transit came to a tentative deal on Sunday after three days of negotiations in New Jersey and with the National Mediation Board in Washington, D.C., NJ Transit, the governor’s office and union said Sunday evening.

With full service not resuming until Tuesday, commuters can drive or take the bus, PATH or ferry. But there are also some outside-the-box options.
