Over the weekend, as Elon Musk launched into a barrage of social media posts criticizing one of the lead White House advisers for President Donald Trump’s aggressive tariff plan, Musk was going over that same official’s head — and making personal appeals to Trump.

In February and March, Trump slapped two rounds of 10 per cent tariffs on Chinese goods, citing allegations of Beijing's role in the fentanyl crisis. Following this, the US President imposed 34 per cent tariffs on all Chinese goods as he announced reciprocal tariffs on April 2.

Elon Musk's brother, Kimbal Musk, criticized US President Donald Trump for his tariff policy, reports NBC News. According to him, Trump's tariff strategy represents a constant tax for Americans. "Who would have thought that Trump was actually the most high tax American President in generations.
