BRONX - Twelve civilians were injured in a fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon in a residential building in the Bronx, according to the FDNY. The fire was reported at approximately 3 p.m. on the 3400 block of Kingsbridge Avenue, between West 234th and West 236th streets. Officials said the blaze originated on the third floor of the building.

Children and adults were hurt Tuesday when a fire broke out at a Bronx building, where parents said a day care is located.

Crews reported seeing three people jump from an upper floor as the flames spread through the building. Firefighters performed CPR on the victims.
