NILES — Ronald “Hondo” Scarnecchia Sr., 89, of Niles, died Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Continuing Health Care of Niles. He was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Niles, the son of Sam and Mary Scarnecchia.

Scarnecchia will be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in Foxborough, Mass. Saturday afternoon. Owner Robert Kraft personally chose him as the Hall’s 33rd inductee in April.
