Rapper Young Scooter reportedly died from a severe leg injury he sustained as he attempted to flee from authorities on Friday, which was his 39th birthday.

The musician, whose real name was Kenneth Bailey, also recorded with acts like Future, Lil Wayne, Migos, and Rick Ross.

Kenneth Edward Bailey, better known as Young Scooter—a successful rapper who worked with Future and Gucci Mane—died at just 39 years old after trying to flee from the police. The Atlanta-based musician was pronounced dead Friday—tragically,
